Encounter Map Detroit

About the project

The Encounter Map Project gathers short stories of where people have encountered God outside, in the streets, parks, and shared spaces of Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park. Each story will be set on a 360° view of the street where it happened. Listeners can look around from close to where you stood and hear your voice there.

Listening pews

Hand-painted pews will sit outside in all seven City of Detroit districts. Sit down, scan the code, and hear stories from the neighborhood around you.
